Daarna een stukje met de trein en toen met de bus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\">Toen de bus \u2018Amersfoortsestraat\u2019 omriep, stapte ik uit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\">Aan de ene hand lag de snelweg. Aan de andere hand een bosgebied. Het voelde al meteen niet als de juiste plek voor een hotel en ik probeerde me te ori\u00ebnteren door een huisnummer te vinden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\">Dat vond ik. Ergens in de 200. Het hotel had nummer 27. Dat was niet eens het erge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\">Het erge was dat elk huisnummer zich op een zuil bevond bij een hek met andere bordjes, met daarop waarschuwingen voor videobewaking en waakhonden. Om vervolgens door het hek heen een oprijlaan te zien met ergens aan de horizon een landgoed, villa of ander gigantisch gebouw.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\"><strong>Ik ging te laat komen. Het regende. Heel hard. Op mijn mobieltje probeerde ik de kaart te laden om te zien of ik wel de goede kant op ging. Langs villa\u2019s. Crematoria. Door modderige bospaden. Van kilometers lang. Breek ze op of zo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:1em 0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5em;font-family:Arial,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#000000;font-size:16px;line-height:2\">Deze straat ging uiteindelijk als brug over de snelweg heen, om een woonwijk in te gaan. Maar de weg die over de snelweg ging, was tegelijkertijd een op- en afrit. Daar hoorde je dus niet te lopen.
