We groeien op met het mantra dat we allemaal gelijk zijn. Toch worden we van jongs af aan getoetst op onze kennis en vaardigheden en beloond (of gestraft) met hoge of lage cijfers. Je waardeert iets in jezelf, dat je ook in een ander zou kunnen waarderen. Soms heel hard. Net als de schrijver Kafka. Die met zijn gelach uit zijn werkkamer diep in de nacht zelfs de buren wakker kon maken. #goals. Dat we mogen beseffen dat we veel meer kunnen betekenen in de wereld dan we nu doen. Juist niet door de ander te helpen en onszelf te haten.
